This week Vinyl's Artist Spotlight goes to Hoven the Great!

Hoven The Great was born Antuan Benjamin Major on March 14. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island. In 2001 after the death of his brother Joseph Avery Tutt Jr, him and his family moved to Georgia. Shortyl after moving here to Georgia, Antuan started rapping. Since then he has dropped 9 mixtapes locally and is currently working on the 10th, which will be his first official mixtape! Look for it HERE on Vinyl!!! Anywho, artist such as Jay-Z, Nas, Biggie, Tupac, and Eminem have played a major influence in Antuan's life. But, after moving to the south artist such as T.I, and other southern rappers have begun to influence him as well. This is the reason for his versatility and the southern accent he has on certain beats. Hoven grew up rapping with Roscoe Dash and the two have collaborated several times to make great songs. Roscoe and Hoven have also performed together! After seeing Roscoe's success Antuan decided that Roscoe would be his motivation to succeed as well. Therefore, he plans to work hard and meet Roscoe at the top!

Born Vaughn "G'Brahn" Lowe knew from the age of 12 that he was meant to do music. From notebooks, to tissues, to magazine ads, G'Brahn wrote his rhymes as naturally as breathing. So it would be no secret that the comeback of the year would go to Eminem! Eminem started out in the game in the early 90's and making it real big in 99. He released his first album in 92 titled Infinite. Since then Eminem has been killing the game with his superb lyrical abilities, hot freestyles, and real lyrics. Due to Eminem's on and off alcohol and drug use Eminem decided to take a break from music. In 2005 he announced that he would be retiring due to personal issues and reasons. In 2008 Eminem announced that he was in the studio and doing good and that it felt good to be back after being gone for so long. In 2009 he released an album called Relapse! In 2010  it was said that he was suppose to release another album called Relapse 2 but instead he changed the name of the album to Recovery and must I say this has to be one of his best albums EVER!!!! Im so happy he came back in the game cause he was truly missed!
